I agree, Joe. I have been looking to do a braced swingarm mod on my bike, but to be honest it would just be for bling & no real world advantage for the street.
And yes... Europe not only knows how to do street fighters, but they also get all the cool ones too...

Not a thing brotha, not a thing... I have not given up on the idea, however the Z shock is offset in the opposite side of most swing arms I have considered based on what I think meets my bling factor... so it's not a simple mod. It sucks... the 02 ZX9 swingarm should bolt on but the offset of the shock kills it... And I don't know of anyone that can weld good enough to guarantee a strong weld to move the brackets on the swingarm for the shock to fit.
I am glad it's black & will be painting my hugger black to match the front to sort of hide it in there...
