how did the run go?

 

Well Just got back...it was a good long ride today. I am very glad that I decided to take the Ninja 650R. On this ride there is a lot of straight up and down riding.

Chad you did a great job leading today. Sorry I got a little fiesty when we got to the loop. I was surprised how the little Kawi ran, especially in the faster corners. That bike reminds me of riding a go-kart.

We stopped at a place called the Brown Fox for lunch...they had very good food, but it was no Shamrock Burger.

There was another group that showed that I believe was lead by Rotary and one of them went down before we even got to the tough stuff!!! I think it was a guy on a GSXR1000 that was so fast he decided to pass everyone at the start of the ride only to pull over into the emergency lane on 54 to get in the back. I don't know what that was all about??

So all in all a good ride...no cops and no accidents in our group. I can't wait to go back to the North Run.....Just so everyone knows I will be in Orlando next weekend so I will not be able to ride. I will miss you guys!!!

Ok what a fuckin confusing day..

I went to Maronthon gas station this morning with a friend while waiting on 2 others.

As soon as we got there the people there acted like they wanted to leave.They looked like a bunch of Mexicans,NON of them I reconized.I even tried to talk to a few and they acted like they didnt know where to go.

Once they started leaving,I noticed one of them big scooters,like the one Raul was talking about,but they started heading East on 54,so screw it.We were still waiting on the other people.

So then later 2 guys show and say theres a group leaving at 9.Everone came and it was lead by old man knine.So then I noticed a few faces.

We ride the ride,then abotu midway through to Hess,we crossed in with another group.That I started to ride with,Once they stopped and I relaized they were not with us I decided to pick up the pace to catch up.

I saw the back of the line but lost them.But I knew where I was at so I headed to the Hess.I was there for about 10 mins before Knine and the others came,I thought in no way in hell they came yet and left.Or did they go straight to Shamrocks.

Well they showed up.I didnt make the run to Shamrock,me and my friend wasnt going to eat there.So me and my friend decided to cut it short.Head back to Tampa to go visit the Thai Buddhist temple and eat some food out there.

Me lead a group? I can barely found my way out there.

I think I saw JDR ride by on the 650 by himself going east on 54.Do you have a black helm?

 

Nope was not me....what a confusing ride!!!

Wow... what a loooooooong day.

1st things 1st... Thanks Chad for taking us out there. My wife liked the loop more than I did, so I may be taking her over that way (Across 50) in the future.

Well... here is the scoop on what happened today...

Josue, a local friend, wanted to invite a few friends to come check out the North Run. Well as you saw today, friends have friends that have friends that have other friends & before you know it, a crap load of guys showed up. When I saw that group all I could think of was... damn this sucks. I felt really bad. I did talk with Josue this evening & we both agreed that was crazy... wont happen again...

Anyways... the one guy that was not expected to show up, did... or so I am told, and he immediately felt the need to show-off. A bad sign. The guy did not seem to like that the group was staying together & passed everyone without knowing the way... not good.

Later the same person, looking back quickly approaching a corner runs off the road, into a ditch. The front end sinks & he is shot into the air into some nearby water. It all happened to fast that he would have drowned had his friends not rushed to his aid... As you can imagine, my jaw dropped as I heard this story.

The guy was fine, a little hurt considering, but was able to ride his damaged ride back home.

So no pictures... but Josue & I will have him (the scooter camera guy) come again for some shots. He is looking forward to it. And this time it'll be just him & not that huge crazy group.

Sorry about holding you guys up a bit, it was good experience for my wife & she is really glad you guys didn't seem one bit bothered by having to wait for her. I thank you as well, for putting up with the inconvenience. We had a great time,,, Thanks!!!

Mike was there BUT_ASS_NAKED!!! kick ass... was glad to see him come out.

Yea it was a crazy day indeed. Frankie and I were up all night Sat and needless to say we were not missing any kind of North Run. So we left the house going to the Crackel Barrel off of 50 and I75. We ate breakfast thanks for breakfast Frankie. Then off to ride. As soon as we leave we see about 10 bikes pull up we knew a couple of people Joe that works at sky and so on. So we leave there head to Hess on Spring Lake. There were about 50 bikes there. So we left around 1130 in to separate packs on the North run to Shamrocks. K9 was at the top of the group. I was going with them at a fast pace but then slowed down to the second group with Frankie cause my boy wasn't wearing a jacket. Cause he wasn't accepting to do the North run. I wanted to be there just incase something went wrong. We kept a nice pace and ended up being an awesome ride. We came back to the Hess on spring lake. Chilled there got some drinks then Raul, his wife and Chris showed up. So we did a Haymen run back into town were we live in Spring Hill, Dam Raul is superman on his bike I was second in the pack with him and boy I can't wait to be as fast as you! I wish Brandon was with us. We then met up at 7 11 and had a convo about the Clermont run. Josue thanks for offering your 750 for me to test drive, awesome ride!!! Well Raul I'm up for a the run this week, keep me posted.
