Suspension Setup...
I was setting up my suspension that Sport Rider magazine recommends as a starting point. However, for the rear compression damping setting there is a "slow-speed" and "high-speed" setting. A north run has turns of all different kinds of speeds. Should I just split the difference? I figure the two different settings are for tracks with a lot of slower speed corners and then you've got the setup for the tracks with more high speed corners.
I think I will just split the difference and go from there. What do you think?
Here's what mine's set at now:
Front Preload = 8.5 turns out from full stiff
Front Rebound Damping = 1 turn out from full stiff
Front Compression Damping = 1.75 turns out from full stiff
Rear Preload = 14mm threads showing from top of threads to top of spring
Rear Rebound Damping = 1 out from full stiff
Rear Compression Damping = A hair over 2.25 turns out from full stiff
The rear compression damping is what has the slow/high speed setting. Slow speed being 1.75 out from full stiff, high speed being 3 out from full stiff.

I may be wrong, but i believe that high speed and low speed have to do with how fast the piston in the shock moves.

I didn't notice any difference. I'll start tinkering with it more after I get the set of pilot powers on it.
