Ok so ill be 20 in may, i got my first bike (yzf600r) when i was 16, road it as transport non-stop for about two years. got into wheelies and trying stunts and fuked myself up a few times. and i think ive got enough health problems from bikes so far so i think im going to leave the 12 scraping up to someone else. so i talked my madre' into letting me use some money from the bank account for a bike . so she agreed that comming up in feb 07' i can get something, now i was going to get just another 600, but i know if i did, i would end up trying to stunt it out again, plus im thinking i would get bored of it really fast... and quite frankly im tired of being layed up, loosing jobs, having a crappy looking bike, and haveing a worse and worse body that has to last me the rest of my life. so i was thinking since i cant just ride normally (two wheels, legal speed) i would get into racing instead. of coarse trying to keep it as safe as possible. but i was trying to think of what bike to get , and im pretty torn, im trying to choose between a 00-02 R1 or GSXR 1K same years... can someone get me specs on them ? like 0-60 and crap? or even give me your opionion , do i need even more exp befor jumping on a liter bike? thanks bro's

also , i dont want to drop it any height or strech the swing arm or anything, but i would eventually turbo it, and put a small nitrous injection system on it. nothing to big (its a bike) lol... if that effects what you say at all lol... fyi

 

Is this thread serious? "I hurt myself a lot on my 600, so I'm going to buy a 1000 and race it. I might even turbo it." Save yourself the money, buy a bottle of sleeping pills, and take the whole thing. They both have the same outcome, it's just one costs $5 and doesn't eat up money in healthcare

Why not get a cruiser? You'll still be out with the wind in your face, but you'll have no desire to wheelie or hit triple digits.

You'll never ride any street bike to it's full potential on the streets but it's damn fun to try
