Question....
I'd like to know some more info on riding jackets. I don't wear one (I know I know ATGATT) unless it's cold outside because I get so hot when riding. There's no way I could wear a jacket unless they make one that breaths really well and doesn't make you hot when you ride. So, which jacket do you recommend for wearing in hot weather and where's the best place to buy one. I also have a problem finding gloves to wear. They're either too big or too small. I have long fingers/nails so to get the fingers long enough, the gloves are too big. I can't seem to find ones that fit....even the fingerless ones. If the palms fit the fingers are too narrow.
I still can't ride for a while yet cause I'm still not healed from my car accident, but I thought I'd start getting prepared for when I get back on the bike again.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

i use a joe rocket phenoix 2.0 when you take the rain liner out it breathes really well, like riding with a long sleeve shirt on, but i dont know how well it will hold up if you end up on your butt.
i got a leather jacket for the winter, but it doesnt fit right its a little too big and flaps when i get up to speed.
i guess my 2.0 is a little out dated its up to 4.0

Have you tried any motocross gloves on. I know they aren't designed for asphault, but I love them. Have lnog fingernails may still pose a problem though. As far as jackets, I used to just wear a textile one and deal with the heat, but they have mesh jackets that are extremely light weight and are very cool as they are mostly pads in the needed spots and a mesh material forming the jacket. Your still going to get hot, but it comes with the territory. Be responsible and deal with it. Getting a little sweat running your maskera [sp?] is a hell of a lot better than looking like some victim that survived The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the rest of your life.

LOL I wish it was the mascara I was worried about. I get so hot that my jeans are actually wet from sweat. I never had that problem on my old Ninja. I was wondering if alot of the heat was due to the exhaust being under the seat now?

Ive also rode with a joe rocket blaster mesh jasket....and i must say it breather rewally damn well!!!
They actually do take great detail when designing these jackets so they breateh good. at stops you will get a little warm, but as soon as you start rolling the little bit of sweat meeting the air is just liek A/C

Gear sucks.
Mesh jackets might help you out though.
I'm always trying to keep all my gear on though.....I feel nekkid w/o it.

@Texas Chainsaw...I have the Joe Rocket mesh one as well, it is light and your right it has padding where needed.
