Default 2006 GSXR Shifter Issues

The shifter hangs up on gear changes. Example, I shift from 4th-5th, the idicator goes blank, and the shifter is still in the up posistion. The bike goes into gear fine but the shifter doesnt come back down. It happens mostly on the 4-5 shift but has happened on other gear changes. Its happened to me on 2 06 600's, I've ridden an 03 SV1K, an 03 GSXR 750, and my 94 RF900R and they didnt do it. Do any of you have this problem??

Thanks,
Frankie

Apparently, people that have this problem say it was the gear sensor that was faulty. Most that took it to the dealer to be replaced have not had the problem again. Info is under the forums on Gixxer.com, I know your talking about my bike too, cause you rode it. Wow was nice seeing you ride a PINK BIKE TONIGHT, LOL later

Happened on my 05 1k, sensor got replaced then it was fine.... easy fix if you have a warranty (im assuming so)

I rode 1fstmaxima's, it did it but I just assumed he fucked it up some how cuz he fucks with everything. Then my friend Rachel let me use her 06 600 and it did it too. So I thought I'd see if anyone else has had it happen.

Well maybe you are wrong and I didn't fuck with a thing! Like I said lots of 06 gixxers are doing it. For those bikes that do they need a new gear shifter sensor.

get a tre and lose that gear indicator, you shouldn't be looking down anyways.
