I can't speak to the accuracy of Bike Bandit's foot peg information but I do have reason to be wary of information on their website. I recently bought a 16 tooth front sprocket from them for my '03 SV1000S. In several places the site mentioned that the OEM size was a 530 17 tooth, and nowhere did it indicate that I wasn't buying a 530 pitch sprocket. When it arrived it was a 520 pitch sprocket, which although I know would work with my bike if I were to also purchase a 520 chain and rear sprocket was not what I wanted or thought I was buying. To be fair, after I called them to get my RMA and why, they did tell me that they are working on updating that portion of the website to at least indicate that they only sell 520 pitch sprockets.

Just in case there's a need to dispell any of the "why not go to 520" questions. I'm going to be using my buddies factory rear sprocket from his GSXR1000 (fits my bike and is +2 for me), and my chain is in good shape. Additionally, although I believe that the 520 setup is capable of handling the power of a 1000, there's no way that you can convince me that it will have the same durability. The reduction in weight is not something that a rider at my skill level can really capitalize upon anyway.

well i have always used that site in finding what parts will interchange. when oem parts change color they even change part numbers but are still the same piece. that is harder to figure out when that happens. however all of these foot pegs for the years that were stated were all the same part number. so there is only one true way to find out.

Sounds like a reasonable conclusion. It makes a lot of sense when you're looking in the OEM parts section of their site, which is not where I was.
