Default difference b/w 90 and 45

does anyone know why some companies go with the 45 degree vtwin and like the sport bikes are 90 degrees...just wondering the advantages between the 2.

45deg. is more for torque, while a 90 deg. will get you more HP. Or atleast that's how I remember it.
