Nice. Already knew bikes handle shitty when compared to cars but it's nice to see it like that. I mean if that were a lamborghini it would have torn the R1 into pieces on that track.

Oh BTW... I got my money on the Carrera AWD vs the Lambo Gallardo AWD on the track.

But yeah... no news that cars have more grip in the bends. But not just ANY car... those things costs 70k more... & in that video... only 3/4sec faster on the track than a bike you can get new for 11k...

well it will be news to a lot of bike guys...

hell I've had gixxer people tell me there bike is magic....I'm sure there not smart enough to understand even a good(not even a race car on slicks)car is faster than the best bikes.

 

One would think aerodynamics would also be a deciding factor in addition to the extra grip that the car has on the tarmac.

 

There is a joke lurkin in there waiting to be exploited...

- 2" of contact patch is not greater than 200mm or greater contact patch specially when multiplied by 4.

- Shopping cart wings when properly setup provide downforce even in the bends.

I'ma go out on a limb here and say that my $4k Sentra racecar pulled well over a G in lateral grip and would work a bike hard in the twisties. But so would my mom's Camry if it had 225mm wide shaved Toyo Proxies RA-1's.
