Default Rider Down...R.I.P. Sean

I hate having to do this...this man was my best friend, lived three blocks down. My friend Sean Smith was riding his 2005 Raven R6 in St. Petersburg on Sunday night in excess of 100mph and collided with a car whom pulled out. He suffered major injuries to his chest which ended up hemmoraging and killing him. He was 33 years old and is survived by his 15 year old daughter and 6 year old daughter. He always rode with a helmet, but I don't have all the details as of yet. For all you that know, this was my boy...very close to home. A lesson can be learned, DO NOT FUCK around on a bike when you are new to the sport. He had a problem with speeding and at the very least, he would want someone else to learn from his mistake...RIP Sean

Damn RIp sean

Why do so many people speed 80-100+ on streets where people can pull out on you

i HATE hearing about these kind of deaths/wrecks because it COULD have been avoided by the rider.....i dont blame the cagers for these....

And im beginning to get PISSED off at all the people the post up and say "somebody pulled out in fron of me etc" and were going 80+ down a street thats made for 45

When a cager sees a bike from that far away....OF COURSE there going to pull out they dont EXPECt you to be doing 100 mph down that road

RIP sean

RIP Sean..

im pretty good about riding at the speed limit...when i want to go fast i know of roads out here in lakeland that are straight and the only thing on each side is trees...

please people..ride safe in town or other places that have driveways and other roads branching off from where your riding...doing the speed limit or close to it you will have a better chance of moving out of the way or stopping..

no dought that doing the speed limit would have helped but bikers crash because cars that pull out into them all the time. even when going the speed limit. hell cars crash each other like this all the time.

plus we've all done it at one time in our life... the guys dead, don't beat his friends up about it.

I dont think anyone is beating him or his friend about it. Yes Cars do pull out in front of us all the time!! On our bikes or in our cars, but we can stop faster on our bikes, so if we are doing the speed limit and paying attention to our suroundings then chances are if someone does pull out we will live to bitch at them or even better kick some ass! I hate to hear about a rider down and hate it more to hear they dont make it. RIP Sean. And my thoughts go out to his friends and family. I have two girls of my own and I couldn't emagine what they are going through. RIDE SAFE ALL AND PEACE!
