Rider down
Was putting my buddies lightning on a trailer at the millenium park in seminole when we saw a yellow moped highside and run into the curb at the s curves on old oakhurst. Helped flip him over due to his face being in the dirt and not bein able to breath. he wasnt wearing a helmet or any protection. he was unconsious till the paramedics finaly got him speaking. he couldnt move the right side of his body at all. but could move the left side. i felt so bad. he must of been going about 40. all i know is he got bayflighted out of there. wish him the best of luck.

damn, when im in gainseville I see hundreds of moped riders and maybe 10% of them are wearing helmets. I guess they think mopeds aren't as fast or powerful as full sized motorcycles, but 40 mph on a gayped = 40 mph on a hayabusa. No matter what your riding it is gonna hurt like hell hitting the pavement that fast.

those are scooters, not mopeds.
sucks either way... people feel like they dont need them on scooters and mopeds. not too bright.
