With all the rider down threads lately.. To raise awareness of how dangerous this is. I was thinking of maybe a stickied thread that had pictures and a short paragraph that was a memorial to the riders that have sadly passed. A picture would be nice too to bring the humanity to the thread as people can read a name, but when they see a face it hits them alot harder that it can happen to anyone.

I really want to see less rider down threads, its making me not want to even come to this part of the site as its sad.

I am not sure, maybe its an idea, and with the approval of family/friends to put a picture up, maybe it could effect someone enough to ride smarter/safer.

*Also it would have to be a thread where a head mod can only post the memorials and can scan submitted replies beforehand. This way no punk ruins the effect*

good idea. I was gonna get a bike but thought, i think is way too many riders have passed in such a short time this could raise awareness, let them riders know to be smart and be careful.

Well yea, just like that one except have pictures of the riders and their bikes. That is good, but like I said, pictures speak louder then words. Seeing the faces I think would have a better impact.

*edit* also that one is more of a "matter-o-fact"... I just browsed that and although some were sad, I felt as if I was just looking through a newspaper.

I want to see the faces of the ones that passed away, and someone that knew them wirte a paragraph about them and their life. This will hit harder then your typical "Rider down RIP" thread. In my opinion at least.

 

I will gladly post up...Yes it may turn some heads away , but if it gives 1 out of 3 people that turn away a reality check , then the thread was a success...LMK when were starting it...

 

I think it will be hard to get a picture for every person that went down.

 

I think he was implying those whom people from this forum knew.. Jason , Drew , Erika , George , i can get pics of them as im sure many others could... But its something everyones gotta do or it wont work that well..
