The Deadly Dozen: 12 Motorcycle Safety Myths and Misconceptions
Loud pipes make me want to put a .30" bullet through their tupperware helmet. No offense Frank, that only goes for the assholes who think they are cool when they run down a residential street at 3 a.m. at WOT with pipes so loud they make top fuel cars sound like a Prius.

personally i fell that a loud pipe will get you noticed more in a lower traffic/residential area, but def not in high traffic. You guys are right about a holes who feel the need to run down residential streets at WOT or even the douchebags that like to pull up next to a car and hit the reve limiter next to the open drivers window. For anyone who does that shit remember this. Loud startling noises will more likely cause a driver to swerve than anything else. So next time you think about being an a hole remember that the driver could swerve right into you. Sorry bout the rant, but i loathe that shit; great post btw Brandon very usefull for newer riders.
True , Most drivers are unsure of our path when were approaching them... The misconception they make is that they hafta get of our way,.... They dont realize that we will do what is necessary to avoid them if they continue doing what their doing , but no , they will swerve and get startled...good point though.
