I think i got screwed!
i bought a 04 600rr from this guy a while back that got rear ended, in hopes to turn it around and make atleast a couple of bucks. The guy told me he would pay off the loan ASAP, and get me the title in about 2 weeks.... that was 4 months ago, now hes not answering his phone and the last time i talked to him, he said he was out of town... What do you guys think i should do? I cant sell this bike without a title, no1 will buy it, and im afraid if he had insurance on it, it will claim it stolen so he wont have to default on the loan... this sucks.

no, but i know where his shop is... maybe i should pay a friendly visit 
actually im avoiding hosility... because he can claim it as stolen, and then it would BLOW up the situation.

Why would you wait 4 months.
That bike could of have been stolen 4 month or longer and if you was caught on it,You would have been in some shit.
Run the vins to see ifs stolen first..
Maybe you can see who has the lein on the title.
Contact the dumb ass and see what happend with him..

I'd call a lawyer real quick. If anything to cover your ass just in case dude says that it was stolen. There might be some way you can get your $ back in small claims or something if dude decides he wants to stiff you.

He cant say you stole it cause you have a receipt. Did you write on the receipt about the time table for recieving the title? ps....I know you didnt give money without a receipt.

already ran the VINs, its clean, just with a lein on it... of course i wrote a bill of sale and made him sign it. I didnt wait 4 months, i been calling him about 4 times a month since he sold it to me, its just now that its been too long and i need to act apon it.
