Frame sliders
I picked up some vortex frame sliders a few weeks after I got the bike.I have never put them on yet,or even tried to put on frame sliders.
My bike is a 06 636 and I got the straight frame sliders where you have to cut the fairings.
Has anyone put them on a 636 themselves?
My friend said he could probally get me a used set of the non cut frame sliders, but I might not want to wait since I got a long weekend, and have time to put them on..
Any advice?
Any tricks?

You only have to cut 1 side. Measure twice, cut once. Use a hole saw, not a dremel.

Does it affect you that much that some random guy 1500 miles away went and paid his own money for a 1000?
Do we really have to fight over who uses the back brake or not?
Do you have to argue over stupid pointless shit on the Internet?

Yeah basically only one side needs to be cut.But I have looked at others that were done at dealerships, its not just a circle cut into the fairing.Maybe a 1in hole, but they are cut on ttop and on the bottom.Like a straight line.
Kinda hard to explain

i put them on my 06gsxr.... i had to dremal out the fairing on both sides....its not to bad just take your time with a dremal and a fine bit....mine came out great...took about a hour and a half....

Imagine a cirlce at the end of an opening for a fairing, well cut the top and bottom horizontal, and flat.thats what I need.
If I can get pics from my friends bike.I will post pics of what I mean.Im just scared to cut it wrong

Mine is cut in the shape of a half moon
