Default 06 ZX6R tires suck

I'm not sure if earlier bikes use the same ones or not. My friend was cruising into a parking lot at about 15-20mph and took a turn and the bike slid out from under him. He wasnt learning far or anything, maybe like 65-70 degrees.

When the bike fell it slid on the frame sliders, the spool on the swingarm, and the stator cover. While sliding it ripped off the spool and the mounting tab on the swingarm. The weld broke and the tab just came off. Makes me wonder what other welds on the bike didnt penetrate well. So far this is the second 06 I've seen rip this tab off. The first bike was on a stand and it fell off cuz the weld gave out. Kawasaki gave him a new swingarm. Do you guys think they will replace my friends or will they say it was his fault?

So he fell over in a parking lot? Sounds like user error to me, I doubt they will give him a new swing arm. And yes you are right, stock tires sucks on that bike!

I watched it happen and he didnt do anything wrong. He pulled in, made a turn and the rear tire slid out

I dont know how you can say the tires suck.Unless you ride or have rode on them and can make a judgement from experiance.

They are Bridgestone Battlax
http://www.partsmag.com/0510/Bridges...tone-0510.html

I wont say they are the best,But I have rode mine in hard rain going 50 mph,Rode them from sitting all night and getting on them 3am.I have 34xx on my bike, with these tires.I never had a problem of the bike sliding, that wasnt MY fault.

I have turned going to fast into a parking lot or what not,and used to much of the back brake, and slide a little, but nothing to where I laid the bike down.

Id say it was the riders error.
