thats all interstate riding... I4 to orlando then take a long ass toll road to the coast.

i think if you guys look at a paper map you can do a north run to SR 50.. take 50 across to orlando then take (damn it, can't think of the name) a main road that runs thru orlando all the way to that coast.

orlando speed world is on that road and I've driven over a few times. i looked for a bike way over once and i think that was a better way than the interstate.

even better. Buddy and I went to bike week. We took all back roads to Daytona cutting clear across the center of the state (no highway). Got there in under 2 hours with a trailer. So I know that there is a better way! If you guys want Ill get the directions. I know that cape canaveral is only a hop skip away.

There's a few options. The toll road option would probably be the worst of them all. You can take 50 all the way from 19 or 275 or 75 or any north/south road basically and go all the way out to the east coast on it, or you can take I4 and get off at the SR 50 (Colonial Dr.) exit in Orlando (exit ~85) and take that to the coast, but the best way would probably be I4 to 407 (exit 82a, a couple bucks in tolls), get off at the colonial exit and take that to the coast. From 50 you can get on US1 and get the space center.

I was plannin on taking 50. My dad told me thats the way he rides up there. No traffic after you pass through orlando.

So how many people actually wanna go, and where does everyone wanna meet saturday. The launch is supposed to be around 3. I wanted to leave around leave around 11ish. That way we can take our time. stop get food ect.. and still make the launch time.

yeah SR50 will take you all the way over their pretty much, all the wa y to the split after the Speed World. Personally it would be a shitty bike ride with all the straightness of SR50 and such. If you take 50 to clermont, jump on the E/W expressway it dumps you out back on SR50 AFTER Orlando. Traffic lights = no fun on motorcycles.

EDIT: instead of ride ALL THE WAY over their to watch a shuttle then ride back, get over there by like 10am, change into some shorts and hit the beach until launch time. Make a day out of it. Hell, you guys could even swing by the races later that night at Speed World.
