One of the consequences of such notions as "entitlements" is that people who have contributed nothing to society feel that society owes them something, apparently just for being nice enough to grace us with their presence.”

Man I remember when my parents took me out to where my cousin was out on his dirt bike and i walked up to it and wanted to ride and got yanked back by my parents
They already had paid for 2 major heart surgeries on me guess they weren't willing to see what else I could accrue
Now I am 35 and going to learn
I hope she knows how freaking cool of a Dad you are and I think it is great that she is learning to ride safe at an early age!

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

that's really cool to get the kids involved with bikes and keep their experiences positive so that the sport/hobby/passtime, whatever, will live on. I plan on doing that with my kids. Happy father's day guys.

Awsome, the look on her face is priceless. Has she ridden it yet? Im sure she has, so what does she think about the 2-stroke powa! Night and day difference? All you guys are awsome and I can't (well I can) wait to have kids just so I can put the lil' tikes on bikes. Its the coolest watching the peewee guys at the MX track, they look like bobbleheads on motorcycles.
She has yet to ride the new bike.
The place were we typically ride is no longer accessible.
We may just break down a buy a few acres.
I try to stay as involved in my children's lives as much as I can.
We do a lot of fun stuff together.
(canoeing, cycling, traveling, motocross, surfing, fishing, etc).
Yesterday we built a big ole work bench in the garage... had all three kids helping.
Here's the finished product:

Here it is looking more like a shelf than a work bench...

Here's all 5 of the dirt bikes.... as you well know, we all ride

These are good days.
