06 YZF-r6s vs. 06 zx6r!!!!!
Getting a new bike this week. Back and forth between the 2006 yahama r6 and zx6r. both im buying brand new. I just need some oppinions on the 2 bikes. Im using the bike just for ridding around and having fun so im not into like hardcore moto GP or anything. Just which one is going to a more enjoyable bike, good torque and power, easy and/or low maintence. LEts see what you guys think.

Both are low maintenance, both are fast, both handle great, I'd say get whichever you think looks best and fits your body's build better for comfort etc.

Ok , i have a zx6 and i ride my friends r6 all the time.. they bost are fast , and handle great , a main different in handling though between them is turning... On the zx6 , in a hard turn , the bike will learn to a certain agnle then drop.. on the r6 , regardless of the turn , the yamaha will drop fast as hell into the turn.. the bikes displacement is race ready , and it leans much faster into turns then any other 600 series bike...I will reccomend the zx6r to any rider , old or new , the r6 is an awesome bike too , and if u want maximum performance on the turns , go yamaha

I'd go with the Yamaha. They seem like the better pick for style/performance. : )

Check out the dyno graphs of the new 600's in the latest SportRider. The R6 does have the most HP but is a total dog under 11k rpms. The extra 3hp sounds nice but the lack of low/midrange sucks on the street. You'll be winding the thing out constantly to keep up.

I'm honestly more towards getting a r6s then the kawi 636. i dont like the colors the kawi comes in this year and finding an 05 leftover in magma red would be nearly impossible.
