Unhappy Rider Down 6/4 1am Gandy

Rider Down 6/4 1am Gandy Blvd. An 06 GSX-R 1000 pulled out of the lot/meet up spot and was headding toward St.Pete. He hit the throtle hard in second gear and the rear tire started spinning out of control. The bike slid out from under them fast. He and his passenger went down hard at about 55mph-65mph. The passenger was rashed up bad.the driver had a rashed up knee from what i saw. The medics showed up very quickly. If anyone knows anymore info, please post up.

Ride Safe everyone
-Ryan-

OMG! i wonder if that was the guy who was following me out...i was following some friends and i was leaving the lot right around 1 and about lost it in the median, there was alot of sand there and i didnt see it till the car in front of me broke loose, by then i had the rear kicked out but it corrected itself..i never did look behind me cause i was trying to catch up to my friends.

btw, there were a shitload of bikes out lastnight, i pulled into CCC and musta been 60-70 bikes i would estimate.

Tom (driver) is o.k., slight road rash on his lower leg but was wearing a jacket & gloves. Ashley on the other hand has bad road rash on her rear-end and left arm. She was admited & released last night at Bayfront Hospital. Both wore helmets. It can happend to anyone, WEAR YOUR FREAKING GEAR!!! I'm not the safest guy around but at least I'm realistic..
