Default Evel Knievel may never ride again

Clearwater resident Evel Knievel may never ride again

Evel Knievel

Clearwater, FL - Daredevil Evel Knievel says he will probably never get on a motorcycle again.

The Clearwater resident is too sick to get out of bed on most days.

But he still hopes to make it to the annual "Evel Knievel Days" festival in his home town of Butte, Montana.

He still makes good money, signing autographs and making appearances.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As a kid growing up.... Evil Knievel has one of my heros.
Sad to see him the way he is now... much like Muhammad Ali (another childhood hero of mine)
His name was synonymous with motorcycle skill and bravery.
The collars, the stand ups....When I was a kid I always thought he was the man!!! The stunts he did was out of this world! It's sad to see a legend go away! Hopefully me and Cecil can get on top of our stand ups and impress all of tampa!
Hope our Hero rides again....If not he can ride bitch with me!
Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel, Jr. (born October 17, 1938 in Butte, Montana) is an American stuntman, best known for his public displays of long distance, high-altitude motorcycle jumping which often resulted in serious injuries, particularly during the 1960s. The consummate salesman, he was able to turn his popularity into a marketing juggernaut with products ranging from radios to toy action figures. His achievements and failures got him into the Guinness Book of World Records several times including his record forty broken bones.
