2006 Rc51-rvt1000r + 2006 1000rr
Both are top of the line in performance. But which is better for handling? Which is more "Racing" inspired; Road racing that is.
RC51-

1000RR-

I have been gaining some serious interest in a new bike. Not because I have surpassed, and brought my bike to it's full potential, and honestly; I don't think I ever will on the streets, that is. I'm keeping the RR. My buddy Brandon, as many of you know. Has an RC51, I've driven it a few times, and I have nothing but love for it. I really do like how it's at the opposite side of the spectrum, being a V-Twin. Nothing but torque! They are a little heavy weighing in at 439lbs (600RR 331lbs). I like the feel of it and the torque is amazing.
Now JDR: this thread would be more directed towards you, or any other's that have experienced BOTH bikes. RC51 and the 1000RR. If you could, break it down for me of your experiences, pro/cons between the two, which bike you like the most, and why you like it more, or any other details you would like to add.
Thanks guys.

Seeing as how they dont race the RC51 anymore, I'd have to say the 1000RR is the bike to have. The RC51 is more of a cult bike. You get one because you want one. If you dont want one then you dont get why people have them.

Does it affect you that much that some random guy 1500 miles away went and paid his own money for a 1000?
Do we really have to fight over who uses the back brake or not?
Do you have to argue over stupid pointless shit on the Internet?

RC51 has a more aggressive stance.
1000rr has more power.
Both have heavy race inspired influences in thier design.
The RC51 has not changed much over the past few years.
Where the 1000rr has undergone changes.
I personally like the RC51 better.

i dont have any real input on the bikes .
but i do support Dogbones theroy of them, the Rc is a bad bitch all around, but if your looking for a bike just for speed, the RC wont be the one for you, but on the other hand, my buddy bought the 06 RR, havnt talked to him about it yet, but from what hes been telling me, and all the reviews its a whole new animal for this year

Here's a question for you guys. What can i do to make my Rc51 have greater top speed, but at the same time not lose my acceleration? I have two brothers pipes and a power commander to keep it from running lean. $6500 is the budget. some input wold be nice am at a bit of a loss.
