Default rider down, valrico

Guy riding a red/black bike some one said possibly and R1, got hit today about 4:30 just past miller road on hwy 60, He was airlifted by one of TGH's helicopters, I was at work @ the Master Collision there and heard him comming, heading east on 60, hauling ass, i looked up and he didnt apear to be wearing any gear or a helment, as soon as he passed by out of my site i heard the crash, looks as if someone pulled out in front of him, although i didnt see the damaged car, the bike was totalled, nothing but parts left, and was in several peices.

It's not just gear though. Should use head when riding. Not really nessecary to speed everywhere.

it's hard to feel bad for someone that totally neglects things that could prevent this. no helmet, no jacket...speeding in Valrico...just doesn't make sense.

Unfortunately not everyone includes themselves in the "groups" "forums" or "boards". If they did they would understand the importance of protective equipment. I know when I show up for the north runs - I often feel under dressed because I'm not wearing pants and boots....

Like many have already said - you got to dress for the crash not for the ride - it's just plain ignorant to say "I'm a good rider, so I'm not planning on crashing or wearing all that hot gear". : (
