On the streets, they call them "Chicken Strips"

You can pretty much lean as far as your capable of doing so. I don't think that dragging a knee is a very smart thing to do on the streets. Remember the further you lean, the less traction you have, one small patch of sand leaned over 45o's will slide that SV out real quick. Don't quote me on this, but I believe pilots are capable of 45o's of lean angle.

dragging knee would probably help, cause i could keep the bike more upright and pivot further to the side, just so i am not going to hate life because of sand.

and thats the 1st time i heard them called chicken strips...always heard pussy flaps...chicken strips seems more appropriate.

I think the new Bridgestones are good street tires. I ran BT012's on my first trackday and got totally rid of my "chicken strips" front and rear and was able to grind my peg-feelers on my 954 down to nothing. Even hit the pegs quite a bit even after taking the peg-feelers off.

Mine just either wore off or they fell off while dragging them... does it seem to you that a 954 is capable of dragging the pegs a lot easier than most bikes?

I've got vid of me runnin through a fun stretch of road, just waitin on matt the slacker to find a way to upload them all. No peg draggin, pretty hard leanin though. I think there's actually a little footage of me draggin the peg on an on ramp w/ a passenger (she insisted).
