Frame Sliders
I just ordered the complete set of save my fairings (bar ends/spools/sliders) from moto911.com for the K6GSXR600, and was wondering if anyone out there is a pro at cutting up fairings for the slider installation - the bar ends and spools should be idiot proof - but I would really like to not go at my platics with the kid-proof scisors and make it look like crap, I'm willing to hook you up - 6pack/pizza, 20 bucks whatever makes you happy. : )

What kind did you order? I bought the Vortex frame sliders, and I didn't have to cut at all.

cut from outside not inside - and tape over where u going to cut with paper tape (masking tape?) if u want to make it looks clean , use that plastic thing that people use on desk for wires to go thru. put that in ur frameslider holes . i'm doing some reseach which is best frame slider , i found out that hollow ones suck , so does aluminum. heres some pics what i'm talking about.
i'i'm going to do the same thing .

woodcraft makes solid sliders, solid has appx. 40% more coverage on the ground than hollow.
....1tail is the first in the country to have them inventory, they are relatively inexpensive as well.
the left side fairing will need to be cut, new shape.
second on what CBER said....also, go slow when holesawing plastic. you may need to use a utilility knife or dremel to clean up the hole at the end.

Good info here, but on my 636,I just have to trim back some of the fairings,im glad I dont have to cut a complete hole.
I want aluminum cause of the look, but that Derin is better,so im tring to find some for my 636.I just dont know who makes what in the bike aftermarket companies.
