I heard somewhere that the term squid refers to their movement. If you watch a squid move through the water, they have little directional control but can squirt off in a straight line very quickly. Imagine watching the average dipshit rider on a twisty road from above. They'd just sort of drift slowly through the turns then blast off for the straight sections.

"Stupidly Quick, Underdressed and Imminently Dead" haha thats awesome!
I hate this heat, because i ALWAYS try to wear my jacket...but even with the liner removed its still too hot.
As for only being able to take corners slow...that just means you won't lay your bike down on an invisible oil patch around a corner...you won't even know you drove through it. the other day i was goin around 70 up this one corner, and hit a small oil patch my right peg got dragged a little bit, and spooked me, but i was back to my normal ass self in a few seconds. Just testing these battle ax's before they get swapped out friday for some new pilots ! I've already had the Metzler M3's...those were nice...new bike came with the battle ax's which don't suck too bad. But i just like a little more grip on the edges. Drifting on 2 wheels isn't as fun as on 4.

Just to throw it in there - I didn't ride the wheely - the tire came up on me without me expecting it - so I got knocked in the nuts pretty hard when I put the front right back down, and put in my place with humility because my feet flew off the pegs and up towards the front wheel - so yea - thats why I am self proclaimed squid, however I always wear my gear - even if it is costing me weight off my body......I just get to eat more food. : )
