Yea, the truth about carbon fiber is that it's actually illegal to have on your car hood in some states because if hit dead on it crumples up worse then any plastic does, however if someone throws an acme anvil on it from a perpindicular(sp?) angle then it's strong as hell.

 

I have these and like them EXCEPT after only one month (maybe a few rides) the velcrow strap seperated from the plastic top... I've contacted Alpinestar to see what they will do for a replacement, no word yet, but as for quality, I'm not too impressed... however I do like the gloves and these do stretch. When I bought them, I got them really snug (enter they "fit like a glove") and then they stretched out and fit perfect now.

 

actully not true, they probly (sp) made it illegal, cause a stock hood is made to crumble/crush. the whole front of cars are made to crush. take a closer look at your engine bay to see the crush points. the carbon fiber hood will not give. they are plenty of pictures across the web with fucked up cars, and the hood still some what straight, my bouddy owns a tow yard ,and i have seen a couple in there

Cycle gear did seem liek a good shop.They told me if I ordered a helment,and I didnt like it I can return it or trade it on.

But I wasnt aware that you can do it on gloves.But thier glove selection rotates alot.

 

ihave those alpinestars as well, and i like them alot. i do wish there was a more paddin on the palms like mentioned.
