id say get either a kawasaki, or maybe a suzuki... hmm but theres always the honda... those are always good ones wait! get the yamaha! oh fuck... i just listed them all! to be honest go to the dealerships. sit on some bikes, do some homework on pricing and accessories you might want to buy and then get the bike you want, most of the 600s are pretty similar in performance (the gixxer and the yamaha are the newest models out this year i believe) but really just get what YOU want. not what other people ride. /endrant

Definately sit on them all and see how they feel because all the 600s are so damn close to each other in performance that it won't make a difference cause you're not going to get the full potential out of any of those bikes. So, just go for the one that's prettiest/most comfortable in your opinion.

In my opinion the 05 gsxr 600 has got be one of the most comfortable crotch rockets I've ever sat on. I can ride that thing for 7-8 hrs before my ass really starts to bother me.

the R6 is still having problems missing the 17,500rpm(all though you can get your money back its still something to think about.) and its not making the hp claimed it the best one dyno'd at 108whp...05 dyno'd at 105whp so much for 3 more hp and 2,500more rpm. and they retail for $9,300(yel/blk)...GSXR750 is $9999

the 2007 600rr should be interesting... the 05-06 are ok bikes (i bought one) just felt a little slow for my tastes. nothing turns in faster then the 600rr.

636 is a waste of money cause next year its probably going to be redone, so i would wait to buy an 05-06 untill the 07's come out, but for the now buyer its the fastest "600"...frankly i cant stand looking at the tach.

the GSXR600 has very similar set up to the GSXR1000(and the GSXR1000 is the best all around bike on the market. Sry to all the kawi bandwagoners who think the new 10R is godly.) plus the GSXR looks great in my opinion. Also the lowest price, but it offers a lot.

price wise any 06 bike out the door unless you have cash it going to run you $10,500(the R6 i would say more closer to 11,000) when all is said and done. can you low ball them? sure but i'm just thinking average person with no money down its going to cost $10,500

Daytona 675 is going to be fairly expensive(8999 plus they're not that common so i'd figure they might mark it up a bit) 3cyclinder, but its really narrow makes good hp (claimd 125) and it looks attractive. Comes with pirelli supercorsas, so it has the best D.O.T rubber on it. should make quite a few heads turn.plus its one of those bike people tend to go "What the hell is that?"

sry for the length, if you can wait untill the summer i am supposed to start working at motorsports of tampa. i'll hook you up!

buy the one your comfortable on

Anything but a Kawasaki, and Suzuki. More specifically a Honda, obviously I own one, but there is a reason that I own it, because to me, it was the perfect bike and exactly what I was looking for. I wouldn't mind owning a 2005 R6 Raven Edition either. My friend just bought an 04' R6, and he also has a 03' Honda CBR600RR, and he sold the R6 within 3 days, literally, because he said he hated it. It was slower, and it sucked at handling compared to his 03'RR, and my 05'RR proforms better than his 03'. I was looking at the Triumph Daytona back in the day, I really really like them. I also dreamt about some Ducati's and stuff, but maintance on Ducati's SUCK.
