Rider Down.. Hit and Run.. DOA
Largo police are searching for the driver of a car involved in a deadly hit-and-run motorcycle accident.
According to police, the accident occurred about 2 a.m. Friday. They said the motorcyclist was heading southbound on Starkey Road when the driver of a late 80s early 90s model red Chevy Camaro pulled off 20th Avenue Southeast to head northbound. A collision occurred and the motorcyclist was thrown off the bike and killed instantly.
Police said the driver of the Camaro left behind the front bumper. Starkey Road is closed in both directions in between Ulmerton Road and the 1800 block of Starkey Road.
Right now, the name of the motorcyclist is not being released until family is notified.

This happen Last night and they still have the road closed. It happen right next to Knockers which had bike night last night. Dont know if he/she was at the bike night or not.

They have a confession from the camaro driver now, no alcohol involved - looking into speed though. Was a 23 yr old driver in the cage. No info on the cyclist - R.I.P.
