only thing i can say is i rode a duc 748 and omg.... what a turd.

Hated everything about it.

Did you really? I've never driven a Ducati, but I have never heard anything bad about them. Ducati's main focus in producing their bikes is handling. The power isn't really a big factor in the creation of Ducati's. Did you get the opportunity to take some corner's with it by any chance?

which bike wins which racing series really doesn't tell you much.

manufacturers pick series in which they want to be competitive and pour their money in. but they all don't pick the same series. the only time there's a real difference between japanese bikes of the same size is when one model hasn't updated for 3 years or so. other than that, you're not going to see a noticeable difference between any of the bikes with normal riders.

the only differences will be looks and ergonomics. as for that, i chose kawi. the 636 just looks sweet to me. doesn't need a bunch of graphics and it fits me well.
