Sunpro sprockets have treated me good in the past, and they're pretty cheap. While you're at it, might as well go two teeth up in the back

Edit - Leave the front sprocket on there if it's only a couple of weeks old. No sense in wasting a $35 sprocket.

How many miles are we talking on the front sprocket? If under say 2000 I'd say stick with it. That kit your looking at should come with everything. But it has a Vortex sprocket. I hate Vortex sprockets. Yeah, they're light and all, but they are made of soft, cheap aluminum. They wear quick, and are know to break teeth easily and come out of round.

If you want Aluminum stick with Renthal or AFAM
If you want steel, go with SunStar or Renthal or stock
If you want a bomb ass sprocket that has steel teeth and an Aluminum center, go with Sidewinder (formerly known as Stealth).

Sunpro, Sunstar, what's the difference? I bought one of those Sun-something ones. I'm pretty sure Sunpro makes gauges or something else

but wait! You havn't had the discussion on the different types of drive chains you can buy, o-ring,x-ring,standard, tensile strength etc.! j/k the dude at the parts counter should give you what you need. That's what I love about motorcycle shops, (the trusted ones ie NOT BARNEY'S ) , the guys at the parts counters are enthusiests and know what you need and don't need and can explain it. Unlike a car dealership where no one knows a damn thing.

you can't go on what the marks say once you have changed your sprockets. going one down on the front or up in the rear with teeth changes the length of thechain or something to that nature.

going down on the front would essentially move the rear sprocket back causing you to read a longer length of the chain.
