I guess the coating that the factory uses is toxic and there are only a few places in the country that can do it. Millenium Technologies has great customer service and a super reputation. They are the ones who did my R1. You might be able to have it bored localy, but they wouldnt be able to recoat the cylinder wall. That means more friction, less HP and lower engine life.

Another option would be to send your cylinders to Orient Express as a core and buy your whole kit through them. That would probably be the fastest turn around.

As for the head, there is a guy in Seductive Cycles who can mill your head (if it needs it). He has a Multi-million dollar machine shop at his disposal. While the head is off, you might want to have it ported. That's where the real power is.

If I had to choose between displacement and porting, I would definatly going to go with porting. I think with bigger displacement your going to be dissapointed with the power gains. On my R1 with boaring alone I only gained about 4hp and I went 2mm over. With porting I gained 14hp.
