Default Replacing my chain

I picked up the DID ERV2 chain for my bike, and am I wrong, or is it supposed to come with a clip connector? Anyhow, I got one from work, and I only plan on using it to connect the new chain to the old one to run it through. Anyone got a cutting/riveting tool they could loan me? I was gonna buy one, but my cousin is supposed to come through for me and give me his, if he can find it. I'm hoping to do this today or tomorrow, as my stock chain is stretching fast.
