Hey, my bike is actually pretty good at u-turns. I can get from inside to inside lane on it if I really try. I'm normally just lazy and take a few lanes though. Believe it or not, Harleys actually have some of the shortest wheelbases out of all the cruisers on the market. Makes 'em pretty easy to u-turn and stuff. The only problem is that they're heavy, so you're scared of dropping them.

Nothing was easier to u-turn than the Rebel 250 they gave me at the MSF course.

No shit! You have to consider, there are probably a few people who spend every expendable dime they have on a Harley, but most other people view it as a secondary and usually recreational vehicle. Considering a Harley averages around $15,000, I'd imagine that most owners make a considerable amount of money. How else are you going to justify a $15,000 toy when you're already making a car, house, and whatever else payment?

I dig it, I passed the endorsement on a cruiser, not by choice. They can corner. It would have been easier on a sport bike though. Those pics look to be from a motocop competition, that course is supposed to be a bitch.

That is average income...I don't make that, but me and da wife combined top it. I just want a real fast bike. That is the reason I traded my cruiser in on the 636, next will be the GSXR 1000. But, not until I can ride this one to death.

First off, being drunk and being a drunk are totally different. The waiter we had at Carmelita's for lunch was a drunk. He couldn't even pick up the check his shakes were so bad.

I think the income is more related at being at least somewhat responsible. You don't get incomes like that by being irresponsible, you know?

And of course I drink, but I can't remember the last time I decided to knock back a few and go take some hard corners on my bike. Honestly, I don't like taking hard corners at all, let alone drunk.

I don't drink and do twisty shit, but I speed like hell. I lane split a lot too. All dumb things that attract attention froms cops. It is time to rethink my position.
That drunk that waited on you coulda cured his shakes with a drink.

I kept suggesting he hit the bar, but to no avail.

bt the time i got to the bottom of this thread, i completly forgot what started you guys argument .. so im just gonna tell you why i dont like cruisers :o) Ive ridden several and dont feel safe on them. the brakes are junk and most are pretty slow and worst of all, its a relaxed seating position.. which makes it hard to corner, especially if its needed fast. I dont mind a lot of things about them but generally just dont feel safe at all on one. its like buying a caddilac or sports car, the sports car is more fun and probably be easier to avoid a wreck.. but noone drives the sports car slow enough to even see those benifits. also cruisers are a lot easier to rebuild but you have to rebuild them a lot more often.. ive seem plenty of sport bikes go well over 40k miles before just being pushed aside for a newer bike. not many cruisers get that miles out of their motors. anyway i could go on, and dont really have a point.. just felt like adding my .02
