I'm such a fucktard. Just got off of work and was streching myself by riding like a stupid squid... i was passing a car and an undercover silver lincoln ls was sitting in the road....i should have realized 300 yards away that it was a cop because he was sitting off the side of the road... but i had other shit on my mind... so I speed up and pass some grandmother who drive at like 35 in a 45 and in doing so....i hit 72 (apparently) i would say more around 65 but whatever....i get close and see the window down and a guy wearing a white shirt ...instantly realize that its a cop and i wonder if i was going fast enough to piss him off... pass by and see his tires start to peel out in the dirt..... then of course the question was to run or not...... I would have gotten away for sure, but I'm still such a new rider that I am not confident enough to do that...or crazy enough.... so I let him catch up and he tails me for a little...i guess reading the tag, then pulls me over..


the officer was kinda nice about it, I couldn't find my registration (was in tool bag) but i forgot so i said it was at home, he didn't nail me for that but he did give me a ticket for doing 72 in a 45 which is 4 points and 210 bucks....which really sucks but I deserve it for being a dumb fuck.

anyway i hear that a lawyor can get me out of this for around 100 bucks, which means that i don't have to take the class and I save 100 bucks. I was most def in the wrong so morally i feel kinda bad about looking into it, but money is kinda tight now with school and the car engine being blown up and needing a rebuild.... so does anyone have experience with getting a ticket where you fucked up and there is no excuse i mean the only thing i have to play with is that i think i was going around 7 mph slower... which doesn't really change much but i wasn't looking at the speed i was looking at my turn so I can't be sure.

anyway if it's going to be a big deal to go to a lawyor i really don't want to mess with it. i don't have time in my life to deal with that and school so it would be better to just take the class pay for the ticket and be done with it. rather than dealing with court ect.

if anyone has some input with the lawyor or just wants to bash me for being a squid (that wears gear) just chime in lol

If its ur first ticket in a while then just go to court plea no contest and pay like 40 bucks in court fees and no points

 

if you plea no contest they usually wave the court fees. and the driving improvement class that they give you doesn't count against your 5 allowed to elect.

just set a trial date for court, i serioulsy doubt he will show up and u wont have to pay shit

 

well when u go to court u can settle it the first court date and plea no contest...Court fees are NOT waived but you come out with no ticket fine and it's like if it never happened, unless you take another ticket to court then it effects whether the judge will waive that one or not. The cop not showing up thing is BS. All LEOs have to show up for court. 3 no shows in court are terms for termination per the HCSO handbook.

 

FYI: There's only one period at the end of a sentece, not 4 or 5.

Duh Frankie boy. I just rather use a couple peroids rather then a comma to emphasize a pause whether grammarly correct or not...you'll see it more often from me. Back in college I used the comma Mr. CorrectMe, but this is just TR.
