Biker dies.....
A 30-year-old man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on State Road 54 near Grand Boulevard. Raymond F. Lane of Pecan Drive was headed east in the inside lane on a 1999 Yamaha about 1 p.m., a Florida Highway Patrol news release says. A pickup pulling a trailer tried to cross the eastbound lanes from a private drive toward SR 54's inside left turn lane, the release says. As the pickup, driven by 39-year-old Andrew G. Bork of Boston Circle, crossed Lane's path, the motorcycle struck the left rear side of the trailer. Lane was wearing a helmet, the release says. The patrol says the accident remains under investigation.

One of the consequences of such notions as "entitlements" is that people who have contributed nothing to society feel that society owes them something, apparently just for being nice enough to grace us with their presence.”

The speed limit is 45mph on 54 by Grand. If he was wearing a helmet, he should not have died from hitting something at the speed limit. There's also a Harley dealer right there, so people usually expect to see motorcycles. Something is missing from that story, like the fact that the Yamaha was doing 140mph on one wheel.
