Hey everyboy, I'm looking for a first bike. I read the sticky and taked to different people and have decided on getting either a cbr 600 f2/f3 or an older katana most likely. I don't have any experience riding a motorcycle on the street. I used to have a dirtbike many years ago but thats probably been 5 years. i was just looking for some opinions or any sugestions. I'm looking to spend less than $2500 considering it's my first bike. I'm not looking to do stunts or anything, just ride with some friends and possibly to work sometimes.

 

i have a friend saleing a 03 250m ninja, for 2100. great starter bike, and you could resale for pretty close to what you picked it up for

 

the resale vavle on the 250s sucks... but they are great starter bikes

Iv'e got an 03 Katana I'm selling for $3,900 w/extended warranty... It's a great learner bike, but can still keep up with the others. I know it's a little more, but it is extremely reliable and has a warranty... Just wanted to throw it out there.
