bent sub frame need help

Default bent sub frame need help

i just bought a 03zx 6rr and the sub frame is a little tweekd i was wondering can u bend it back or does it need to be replaced or what. its out ofline by about 1 to 2 inches. eny help

depends on how bent it is...but my GSXR subframe looks like it has 3 different pieces to it (before i mangled it up now its in like a million). if its a multi piece subframe just find the piece thats bent and replace. if not i'd try bending it back....ease it...if it breaks then time for a new sub frame

If you decide to try and bend it back I would do it with a come along or something similar that can be done slowly and carefully. Although I would not try to bend it back on the bike as the frame is aluminum and the subframe is steel I beleive. You could break one of the mouting ears off the main frame, and that would be extreamly bad. Good luck but I would almost watch the E site and see about a used good one.
