Default Crank case Q for 05 r6...

I am trying to replace the left side crank case on my 05 r6 and i cant get it off..something is holding it on and i dont want to break anything. Could someone please help me and tell me how to get it off?

Are you sure something is holding it on and its just not STUCK. If you took the bolts out and cant move it its just stuck, if you moved it enough to un-mate from the surface then something is holding it. If its stuck tap it a few times with a rubber mallet to unseat it. If something is "holding it" I would try a couple firm pulls directly towards you perpendicular to the bike. IF something is holding it it would most likely be from straight on (like a shaft or something) so pulling it directly towards you would be the safest way IMO. Call Yamaha and ask the techs.

Default i thought i could just pull it...

But if i pull it is there anything that will come off or break..i dont want gears or small pieces flying out.

there souldn't be anything that will pop off or break. just make sure every bolt is out

On my new crank case cover there are 3 screw holes around the center on the inside..what are thoes for?

if something comes out you will be able to find where it goes easily. Just do it. Really, its the only option unless you have the ability to fit screw drivers in a 1/8" opening and unsrew something perpendicular to the screw driver, in which case youd probably be a quadrabillionair. haha. Theres no choice but to give it a few tugs. before you do maybe try putting the bike in nuetral just in-case there is some wierd catch or something.

Ok i got it...there wasnt anything holding it on it was just the magnet pulling it(kinda felt like a spring or something to me at first) Thanks for your help.
