True, but I still feel people are being a bit harsh.

People are always harsh about stuff like this , i agree cause we know how to ride and he was starting out... too many people gettin bikes for ego boosts.. I sincerely hope they pass that new law about anyone buying a motorcycle under like 21 has to have completed the msf course...or they wont be approved for the sale.

there should be laws about what size bike anyone under 21 can own.Yes I understand that an accident can happen on any bike. But an inexperienced rider on lets say a zx10 is an accident waiting to happen..Im no angel and have had my zx7r over the 100 mph mark but only on a highway during non peak hours...imo..

The dealerships need to take into consideration the buyers background and experience..in my opinion their more worried about making their commission then seeing that their customer gets whats right for their size and experience.funny how u said zx10 cause i was up at team savage the other day where a kid was going through his paperwork on a 10.. so i struck up a convo with him , his first bike was an older 500e that he drove for a few months before financing the kawy.... he laughed at me when i told him ide be reading about him...thats the kinda shit we need to stop.

I've done 120 on that road, he's not the only moron in this town ( cough cough 135mph on Halam on the south side ).

I feel bad for his family. My parents gave me 200% garentee that I wouldn't have a bike until I was 100% "on my own", and made it very clear they would not help finance it in any way. Prob. saved my life.

I'm 23 now, and looking into a TL1000 for crusing with my wife, but I'd prob. be dead if I'd got a GSX-R600 back when I was 17....

Not considering the corners on that road, I'd say a R6 could be very confident on that road during the straitaways, so I'd have to say he had been drinking...

R.I.P.
