I think with state farm you have to have your auto with them to get your bike covered. The bikes are a new coverage for them so I doubt that they will have many experienced adjusters at first so be careful if you have a claim with them in the next year or so. I wish USAA was still writing new policies for bikes. They actually referred me to Progressive when I tried to add my bike with them.

You have to have a car or truck on the policy as well as the bike or they'll re-evaluate and cancel your policy but you can have a bike on your policy still.. I have had 3 bikes on mine since 99 with USAA... no problems..even better if u have a harley and they ask u CC's and u tell them CI's.. hahahaha... I didn't do this but I know some ppl that have..

USAA stopped writing bikes this year so I could not get a policy with them. There exhisting policies will stay inforce but they may be dropping this type of coverage after the first of the year. Pay real close attention to your renewal notices. StateFarm is giving the great rate but having to move my car to them would have me lose money. They cannot touch the rate I have with USAA for the car. Best thing to be said about insurance is please get at least bodily injury and property damage so you have some coverage incase you at fault for an accident. Getting sued sucks when you do not have insurance.
