Default Coming back to the bike world...

Well... I don't post much in this section but thought I'd let you all know I'm coming back to motorcycles..... again. First was the rebel... then the suzuki Intruder 800, now I'm not sure what I'm going to get this time. I love cruisers. But due to my previous ride on a '05 R1, I now like sport bikes (I will prob get a sport bike since I've had two other cruisers before). Sooooo now I just gotta start looking. Looking forward to meeting up with you once I get it.

Oh yeah the reason I got rid of the suzuki was because of carpel tunnel. It absolutely killed my wrists. So now I'm going to go finally get the surgery to fix it. Once it heals I'm back on a bike.

awsome man. If you want a great "starter" bike I'm taking offers on my '01 600 F4i.

Welcome back! Fix that wrist and ride! (albeit, sportbikes might not be such a good thing for your wrist(s), just gotta make sure you use your legs more)

I say get something with ape hangers. There's really no other way to take all the stress and weight off of your wrists.

My old bike pretty much had ape hangers. But still affected it. The problem is the long term gripping of the throttle. I'm goog for about 30-45 mins before it starts taking effect.

I wouldn't exactly say I'm a "starter" to motorcycles. I've had my fair share of time on a motorcycle. Of course that is all cruisers. My funds will not allow for anything over $2500 (Which that is pushing it). And the 'rents say I gotta get rid of one of my vehicles before getting another one. Sooooo the crown vic's gotta go first.

whackin off, i have NO IDEA! all they are doing is boring the block, rebuilding the head, and ordering my oversized pistons. I have everything else. BUt it has givin me time to work on it cosmetically. Sprayed the floor with bedliner and have drain holes in it so i can hose it out. put 5 point harnesses in it and some corbeau seats just need to find water proof seat covers for them. Painted the wheels and shopping for a lift kit and some 33" tires.

Nice... Sounds like it's gonna be bad ass. Wish I could've done that to it. I don't know if you remember the original seat covers on the RX-7 seats that were in it, but those seat covers were waterproof. I think made out of neoprene.
