Default Dirt bike need title????

Yeah, this might be a stupid question but I might be getting a dirt bike this week from a private party and I want to make sure its all leagal and good. I just want to know if i need a title for a dirt bike, its a 92 250 if it even matters. Or do I need a bill of sale and also do I have to register it or anything? Thanks
Dave

you need an offroad title like soluxx said...you cant enter into croom and some tracks with out it. if who your buying it from does not have a title get the vin and run it to make sure it is not stolen the if it is not stolen just get a bill of sale and go to the tax collector and get the title in your name.

Is this something that the owner should have like a normal title and sign it over, if he doesn not have it should I just get a bill of sale and apply for a title later?

At the dealership I work at, I THINK we issue titles for every vehicle that is purchased at our store...therefore this guy should have a title for that vehicle regardless of size (if that is the case)...I can look into it tomorrow for you if you'd like.
