I just got home from the hooters on hillsbourough and i had to ride home in the midst of a pretty bad storm. Honestly i dont know why people in cars feel sorry for us who ride in the rain. It's soo fucking fun! I didnt hydroplane or lose traction at all, and I drove to my house which is off eirlich! It feels like something out of a movie! NOt to mention HIDs look oh so sexy reflecting off of the puddles in the road! Someone should set up a storm ride or something. No stunting or anything but just riding around. I figure that its gonna rain everyday for a while pretty much and im not paying 200 bucks a month for my bike to sit in the garage!

 

I dunno, last sumer I rode in the rain all the time and quite frankly it's not something that gets me off. I prefer a nice sunny day with a cool breeze.

 

I'll pass. Cleaning the chrome after it gets rained on is a pain in the dick. I'll just sit, nice and dry, in the Cadillac.

i prefer sun too but it doesnt look like we're getting postcard weather for a while so....

 

i use honda polish and it cleans my wheels fairly easy

shit.. i brake lose in every gear with the 2fiddy.. but rain at 100+ hurts sorry.. and we have stunted in the rain before.. well sum us(me, tyler, jason).

its fun to a point.. if its just light rain its kool..

Although riding in the rain is ok and all, That's how people end up with cold and sick as hell. Hope you have some sick days saved up. One thing I do like is getting in full rain gear boots, pants, top and such. then going around riding, you stay damn dry but get to have a little fun. It's been so long since I have done that but it is a good time, and yes some camera shots of the rain and the HID's would be pretty damn sexy to see.

Why don't you try and get us a few shots or something?

 

I also got caught in a pretty nasty storm just yesterday. I was near USF and the weather was great (although a little too hot for ideal riding conditions). I got on I75 to get down to Riverview (a little under 20 miles of highway riding) and about 3 miles into the ride I could see a WALL of water. I was thinking fuk fuk fuk! but after a few miles basically getting to the point of no return being completely soaked it was actually quite fun apart from being kinda cold and having my shoes turned into little puddles. I actually found it quite halarious me going down I75 in the fast lane while half the cars were pulled to the side of the road. Visibility is certainly much better than when you are in a car so I found it less scary and unpredictable ryding on the bike rather than in a car. My windscreen is kinda high too so i just crouched down and hugged my tank for warmth from the engine. Sure you gotta be hella careful, but it wasn't nearly as bad most would think .
