First oil change

Default First oil change

i just got my bike about 2 months ago. when do i have to give it the first oil change. the bike now has 2500 miles on it.

if that is the first 2500 miles on it and it is new make sure you tell the person doing the oil change to take a real good look at what comes out to check for contaminants. 600-800 miles tops on the first oil change. I would look at the owners guide and see what they recomend for oil change intervals.

You're gonna have a lot of shit in that oil. You may want to take the bike out for a ride for a few hours and then change the oil again.

oh ok thanks guys. im thinking like if it was a car. i can tell u guys one thing though. the bike feels with a little less power. is it because of that. i been taking it to work ever since i first got it(fuel economy). i'll let the dealer know. i'll an appointment ASAP. thanks for ur help.
