Default Need advice on buying.. Yamaha R1 Vs GSXR1000 Vs ZX12

Ok.. im a Yamaha guy..always was.. but i had a R6.. i use to have a zx7.. and driven plenty of bikes..
But now that i was promoted im looking for a bike.. Now if i was to spend 6,000 what would you go for..
And if i was to spend 10-12,000 what would you go for.. and 3 reasons why..
I went to power sports.. asking for a R1.. hes like " why do you like looking at GSXR's from behind?".. i know GSX'r are popular.. every one and there damn brother has one.. its almost like newbies are drawn to the Suzuki company..

But.. enough bickering.. question:

What would you get for 6,000, Why ( 3 reasons ) and what would be your next choice.

Same thing for 10-12,000 (brand new bike).

Thank you.. ive kinda been away from the bike scene for a little bit.. want some imput..

I agree on the zx12 or Busa. They are so comfy. I'm a big guy and hunching over sucks. They just won't corner as well.

GSXR1K
1)Handling: It is arguably not the best in any given area... but it is a very well rounded bike.
2) Power:The K5 has an uncharacteristic linear power delivery... no real pronounced curve... straight power.
The earlier models produce sufficient power as well, they just do it the traditional Suzuki way... strong up top.
3) Common enough to easily get any parts you need

just my 2 cents

The 12's are nice... as long as you aren't concerned with getting beat by the Busas

ah i dont care who makes it to 200 faster.. ive been on busas.. there just to big and ugly.. they dont look sporty..

Im going for a showy look.. lowered.. streched.. biggest tire i can get that drive-able.. nice paint job.. and ofcourse stuff like pipe.. jet.. damper.. ect ect.. but ive been working hard as hell for a year to get back on track.. now that i bring home 1,000 a week and my living cost is 300 a week i can get a bike and pay 500 a week.. then start to customize it..

Ill ask around and find some one with a zx12r and take it for a little test drive.. i love the r1 look.. zx12r looks nice.. gsx'rs are just every where.. i think Cracker Jack is starting to put them in there pop corn boxes.. I cant go down a 5 mile road with out seeing some rookie with a new gsxr with a temp tag..

Did a search... here's a guy that's been trying to sell a real nice ZX12R on here forever...
It's at a good price as well.

Here's a sweet local Zx12R... guy named Sam.
Is this similar to what you want to build?
