i do i actually work at st. joes hospital and came into contact with the bike riders, the guy ( 23 yrs old ) was riding with a chick ( 20 yrs old ) on the back and another guy was riding along side of them. The guy with the chick on the back was said to have been just heading home from go out drinking and the two bikes decided to race. The guy without the girl on the back was dead at the scene, the guy with the chick on the back was brought to st. joes. and he was rushed up to surgery and they were saying he could have possiably have lost his right leg that was the only thing really wrong was his right leg looked like a stretch arm strong doll and he broke his forearm. the girl, same thing but her leg looked like a shark bit it and then someone took her bone and scrapped it across the concrete but other than her leg she was good....but RIP for the other rider....i could be wrong if anyone knows any different correct me please i dont wanna wish someone RIP that isnt but thats what the medics and the office let us know at the hospital when they arrived

Two young men were flown to St. Joseph's Hospital early Thursday after one of them lost control of the Yamaha motorcycle he was driving, sending him and his passenger to the Courtney Campbell Parkway pavement.
According to police, 22-year-old Rex A. Hilton of Clearwater was driving the 2005 Yamaha north on Memorial Highway toward the Courtney Campbell at 2:50 a.m., with Effie Nikolakis of Tarpon Springs on the back.
The motorcycle was speeding as it turned onto the Courtney Campbell and fell on its side, witnesses told police. Hilton and Nikolakis, 20, were flown to St. Joseph's Hospital with serious injuries, according to a police report. Both were wearing helmets, said Tampa police spokesman Joe Durkin.
No charges have been filed.

Update:
We went by the hospital to see his family. He doesn't have a collapsed lung or broken ribs. He broke his femur bone in his right leg and all the major arteries were broken. They repaired the arteries, however do not have a strong pulse yet. He has almost no right knee left. He also broke his pelvic bone. However, he is responding to the doctors by squeezing his hands and moving his left toes. But has not spoken yet, they say there is no brain damage so that is a good thing. his passenger has a broken leg, pins put in her knees and very extreme road rash on her right side but she is talking and doing as well as can be expected.
What was told to the family regaurding the accident was that he was taking the left were it splits to go to the courtney campbell. A "witness" said he went in to it to hot and could not control the bike, highsided and hit the concrete wall.
