I was wondering if their were any Road Racing courses in the Tampa area. I know of Sebring because I want to learn to race on a track. Also I am wondering if TR every held motorcycle race days or something like that before. Well maybe we can start one if not. Let me know...Thanks.

 

Assuming you are referring to motorcycle tracks...
Nothing that I know of around Tampa... Jennings is popular.

THere are a few that do some track days... hopefully they will be of better value.

 

No one does Motorcycle track days at sebring because from what ive been told its to bumpy in spots the walls are also very close to the track with almost no run off room in spots,ive drven that track in my ITR an i agree with them.

As for track days for bikes jennings is the best best from what ive been told an its almost to Georgia,but everyone I talked to who has gone says its well worth it.I plan on going to one soon.

 

maybe someone can chime in with the "track" NEAR Sebring that is not officially a track but more of a series of paved roads on vacant land.

 

I didn't mean that sebring was for bikes just a track like sebring. I know Sebring isnt used a motorcycle race track..I have driven it before too. I was just wondering because in VA there is VIR so that is why I was asking and maybe I will have to check out jennings when I get there. Thanks for the info.

Does Jennings actually have a "racing school" or just "track days"?

I could drive around a track all day and if I don't kill myself and without instruction I really doubt I would walk away with much knowledge or any more skills.

 

Yes, they do, I think they have a calendar/schedule somewhere on the site.

 

yes sir, they have instruction and yes it is on the site...it is well worth it. Hit up seductive cycles.com and check track events, there are usually a couple guys going up at any given time. I am going in June if you want to tag along...
