i dont think i could ever use anything else... some mesh might be nice for warmer days, but the protection is really good. being a music major- education and guitar performance, i really need my hands... cant risk it. it has rivets insulated by leather in the palm where most gloves wear through, and pretty thick multi layered leather around the rest of the possible contact patch.

depending on how small your hands are, you might be able to fit in a size small timax... a few shops around town have some smaller sets. the sizing is similar to other icon gloves (in mens styles), if if theyve got another style in small, try those for sizing. that is, of course, if youre in the market for gloves.
i looked at the superdutys before i bought a set, and decided against them, based on the padding on the topside... yeah, i know youre most likely to open your hand on impact so the palm protection is key, but i wanted something a bit more solid for my knuckles. not to mention, im not a fan of shorty gloves.
Metricbikes has the long timax for 128 + free sh, but i got mine for 125 from rtm.
