Default what brand of frame sliders?

Hey, First off i searched and found nothing.

I recently bought a f2 and since i didnt have my motorcycle license or permit i let my friend drive it so i could use his car.

Well he laid it down and now i think i should get frame sliders so i dont do as much damage as he did.

so does it matter what brand? any ebay ones work? or should i look for a certain material? length?

I like vortex ones.

Because they make them 2 piece... So if you fall or drop the bike the puck can be replaced w/o buying the whole part.

Dont get Plastic frame sliders. They will just crumble and fall apart. While your bike is sliding on it's side, your frame slider will be melting away. What ever brand you decide on make sure they are made from Delrin. Delrin is a material designed to take and absorb impact.

ahh, and steve let me add...no aluminum sliders. They bend the shit out of the frame if they go down hard...and most insurance companies total a bike with ANY frame damage...just ask my friend mikey. He got a set of aluminum sliders, dropped the bike off of the bike jack and it put an indent in the frame and cracked the front cowl...so he contacted progressive to get a new upper and when the adjuster came out...totalled...over a friggin slider.

personally, i have metal vortex sliders, and i'm switching to plastic ones. ive seen a few bikes down with both, in similar situations, and the ones with the plastic sliders came out a bit better. specifically, ive noticed the plastic ones will grind down, whereas the metal ones will slide, and if they hit a bump, disturb the sliding pattern, possibly causing more damage.
